Record labels claim AI generator Suno illegally ripped their songs from YouTube
On Friday, the Recording Industry Association of America amended their complaint against Suno, accusing the AI music generation company of illegally downloading content from YouTube that was used to train its models. “The RIAA is now seeking $2,500 in statutory damages for each act of circumvention, alongside up to $150,000 per work infringed.”
Moody's cut credit memo prep from 40 hours to 2 minutes with modular AI agents: Here's its agentic AI blueprint
“This week, Moody's officially launched Agentic Solutions, a suite of AI-powered tools designed to automate knowledge-intensive workflows across finance, risk and strategy. The platform leverages Moody's data covering more than 590 million global entities to coordinate specialized AI agents that can work together on complex tasks.
Among the complex tasks that Moody's customers perform is the preparation of credit memo that traditionally could take 40 hours or more. Agentic AI now dramatically reduces the time needed.
`We can produce a credit memo in a set of minutes, in two minutes you have a credit memo,’ Christina Pieretti, General Manager, Head of Moody's Digital Content and Innovation, told VentureBeat.”
China’s DeepSeek shook the tech world. Its developer just revealed the cost of training the AI model
Last week, in an update to the paper “DeepSeek-R1 incentivizes reasoning in LLMs through reinforcement learning,” published in the journal Nature, researchers from the Chinese AI company DeepSeek revealed that the cost to train their model R1 came in at $294,000, considerably less than what OpenAI has reportedly spent to train their own LLMs (the company is reported to have spent more than $100 million dollars in 2023 to train their own models). In that same update, DeepSeek also responded to the claim that R1 had learned from OpenAI models, claiming that content generated by OpenAI models, subsequently scraped from the web as part of R1’s training data, accounts for how R1 indirectly learned from these models.

Spooky Season is upon us. Is your yard ready?

Prompt: A suburban house and front yard completely over-decorated for Halloween. The house is covered in string lights, cobwebs, hanging skeletons, and giant inflatable pumpkins. The yard is overflowing with gravestones, animatronic zombies, fog machines, glowing jack-o’-lanterns of all sizes, and oversized spiders crawling on the roof. Ghosts dangle from the trees, and neon-colored lights cast an eerie glow across the scene. The overall look is chaotic, playful, and a little spooky, like someone went completely overboard with Halloween decorations.
