Musk loses his OpenAI lawsuit
After a three-week trial, an Oakland jury ruled against Elon Musk's $100B+ lawsuit against OpenAI, Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, and Microsoft. The jury deliberated under two hours and found Musk's breach-of-charitable-trust and unjust-enrichment claims were filed past California's 3-year statute of limitations. Musk called it a "calendar technicality" and said he'll appeal. The verdict clears a major legal cloud as OpenAI moves toward a reported IPO.

Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business last week. It's a package of connectors and pre-built workflows that puts Claude directly inside the tools small business owners already use, instead of leaving them to figure out AI from a blank chat window. Users toggle it on inside Claude Cowork, connect tools, and pick a job. It runs inside QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. Users get 15 ready-to-run agentic workflows and 15 skills built around the repeatable tasks owners say slow them down.

Long live the 90s. Image made with ChatGPT Images 2.0.

Prompt: Grainy VHS camcorder footage from an American high school in September 1993. Random candid scene in a school parking lot. Low-resolution analog tape quality, washed-out colors, soft focus, scan lines, motion blur, fluorescent lighting, imperfect handheld framing, students in 90s outfits like flannels, varsity jackets, baggy jeans, backpacks, sneakers, and baseball caps. Make it feel like a forgotten home video frame from a school archive. Add a subtle timestamp with a random September 1993 date and time. No modern clothes, no phones, no HD, no cinematic look.Profs in the News
