Google is testing a new image AI and it's going to be its fastest model

Just as Google’s powerful LLM Gemini 3 Pro was followed by the lightweight and considerably faster model Gemini 3 Flash, Google’s powerful image generator Nano Banana Pro will soon be followed by the lightweight and considerably faster—you guessed it!—Nano Banana Flash. No official word has been released as to when Nano Banana Flash will be available.

Amazon lets some users chat with Alexa+ on the web in bid to take on ChatGPT

Tired of having a voice conversation with Alexa? Would you rather just type out your conversation with Alexa? Now you can, at least if you’re one of the select Alexa+ users who were given access to the website alexa.com on Monday. The web-based version of Alexa looks suspiciously like other LLM platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot, with the additional feature of allowing users to access Amazon smart home devices as well as make Amazon purchases within the interface.

Cops Forced to Explain Why AI Generated Police Report Claimed Officer Transformed Into Frog

Draft One, a ChatGPT-powered tool used by police departments to convert body camera audio into police reports, was shown to require a degree of human supervision (duh!) after it included in a report a tidbit about a Utah police officer being transformed into a frog. According to Rick Keel, a Heber City, Utah police seargent, ā€œThe body cam software and the AI report writing software picked up on the movie that was playing in the background, which happened to be ā€˜The Princess and the Frog.’ That’s when we learned the importance of correcting these AI-generated reports.ā€
